Dr. Wallace Mathai-Davis (Doing Business with China) is the Advisory Board Chairman of Shepherd Kaplan LLC Investment Advisory Firm. He has more than 25 years’ experience as an international asset manager and merchant banker. He was responsible for investment in China, South America, and Europe (including Eastern Europe) as well as holding senior management positions with leading U.S. financial institutions. He is currently on the Board of Directors of private companies in China, Germany, and the United States. Dr. Mathai-Davis has more than 15 years’ experience of investing in Greater China, and the merchant bank he co-founded in China has represented various Global 500 companies on a wide range of direct investments in China.

Mr. Sam Gupta (Doing Business with India) is the CEO and CIO of Grand Trunk Capital. He has one of the longest track records of long-short investing in India. Sam co-founded Passport India Fund in 2003 which grew to be a leading India-centric hedge fund of its time. Mr. Gupta subsequently co-founded and managed QIF Management in partnership with Soros Fund Management. QIF Management was the largest and one of the most successful foreign investment funds in India.
