The BABC LA Presents
A Winter Wonderland!

On Friday afternoon, December 12, 2008, the renowned Starlight Ballroom at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica will be transformed by a spirited Merry Christmas Celebration in Grand British Tradition.
This festive event features traditional British holiday fare and has become a celebrated favorite with our members and guests alike. Each year our Christmas Party draws over 600 people, including celebrities; prominent leaders from high profile business, aerospace, manufacturing, legal and entertainment companies; local political figures and many distinguished guests of the British and European Consulates.
The festivities begin at 11:30 am with a hosted Champagne Reception and Silent Auction, which features a wide variety of items and fantastic vacations, both domestic and abroad. The traditional sit-down Christmas Luncheon, complete with all the trimmings, is accompanied by entertainment. Notable speakers and performers have included Joan Collins, Roger Moore and some of LA's most talented musicians, who play alongside the likes of Paul McCartney, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart and George Michael, among many others. A Grand Raffle featuring spectacular trips and Special Raffle of a brand new Mini Cooper will round out the afternoon.
The gala supports the efforts of the BABCLA and also includes our annual toy drive for the Salvation Army and canned food drive for the elderly.
Valet parking at the hotel is available for $11. Self-parking is available less than two blocks away at 1235 2nd Street.
