David Hirson, Esq.

David Hirson has over 40 years experience in the practice of immigration law, and founded David Hirson & Partners LLP.  Previously, he co-managed Fragomen’s Irvine office and oversaw Consular Practice, which facilitates the processing of U.S. non-immigrant and immigrant visa applications filed at U.S. Consulates and Embassies worldwide.

Mr. Hirson attended graduated from University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa (Law, 1967).  He is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted in the District of Columbia. He is the Past Chair of the State Bar of California, International Law Section; chaired the State Bar of California, International Law Section, Immigration Law sub-committee; and has been the Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Investor Visa Committee. Mr. Hirson was the 1992-1993 Vice-Chair of the Immigration and Naturalization Service Headquarters Liaison Committee in Washington DC, on behalf of the National Office of AILA, and was re-appointed to this position for 1995-1997. From 1989-1992, he was the Co-Chair of the Liaison Committee to the Western Region of the Immigration and Naturalization Service on behalf of AILA. For the year 1989-1990, Mr. Hirson was the Chapter Chair of the Southern California Chapter of AILA and was the 1988-1989 Vice-Chair. He was the 1987 Chairman of the Orange County Bar Association’s Immigration Law Section, of which he is still a member. he is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Immigration Law Section.

Mr. Hirson is certified as a Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. He is also admitted by the Law Society of Hong Kong to practice as a foreign lawyer. Currently he is on the AILA Investor Visas committee and on the Border and Admission committee. He has been recognized on several occasions by numerous organizations including the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers (Corporate Immigration), Southern California Super Lawyers, America’s Best Lawyers, Best Immigration Lawyers in United States by Best of the U.S., and he is Martindale Hubbell A.V Rated. He has lectured extensively on immigration law to Bar Associations and private organizations.

Mr. Hirson was the founder and Co-Managing Partner of the national immigration law firm HirsonWexlerPerl for almost 25 years prior to the firm’s merger with Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP. He was also the founder and Director of GVS Global Visa Solutions, LLC, prior to its merger with Fragomen Global Immigration Services, LLC.
