Matthew Wiseman

Matthew Wiseman is an entertainment and non-profit professional with broad management and executive experience. Currently, he is Chief Executive Officer for BAFTA Los Angeles, the LA wing of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. 

A London native, Matthew has worked for BAFTA Los Angeles since 2002. Achievements to date include the expansion of the organization’s renowned events series, the growth of its acclaimed educational programs, leading the organization’s video games activity across North America, expanding the BAFTA Student Film Awards into a global initiative, and evolving the British Academy Britannia Awards into BAFTA’s biggest event outside the UK.

In recent years, Matthew has also developed the organization’s operating plans, and partnered with the executive teams in London and New York to develop and implement BAFTA’s burgeoning global strategies. He attempts to play soccer, guitar and piano, all to varying levels of mediocrity. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
